China Open 2025 Lineup Unveiled: 14 Grand Slam Champions and Three Chinese Players Confirmed

The China Open has officially announced its player entry list for the 2025 championship, featuring 14 Grand Slam champions and three Chinese players. The competition will take place at Beijing's National Tennis Center, with Zheng Qinwen and Wang Xinyu leading the Chinese contingent.

Women's Singles: 12 Grand Slam Champions Named

This year's women's field includes 76 direct entries, including 12 Grand Slam champions: Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Madison Keys, Elena Rybakina, Naomi Osaka, Jeļena Ostapenko, Sofia Kenin, Emma Raducanu, Marketa Vondrousova, Barbora Krejcikova, and Bianca Andreescu.

Among them, three have previously won the China Open: Świątek (2023), Gauff (2024), and Osaka (2019). Veteran Pavlyuchenkova also returns for her 13th appearance.

China's direct entries are Paris Olympic Singles Gold Medalist Zheng Qinwen, alongside Wang Xinyu and Wang Yafan.

In addition to the 76 direct entrants, eight players will compete via wild cards. The WTA qualifying rounds set for September 22 to 23, will decide 12 further main draw spots.

Men's Singles: 23 Direct Entries

The men's main draw includes 23 direct entrants, led by five of the current world's top ten: four-time Grand Slam champion Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Alex de Minaur, Karen Khachanov, and Lorenzo Musetti.

Along with Sinner, Daniil Medvedev is another Grand Slam champion on the list. Like Sinner, he will also be making his third appearance at the China Open. Veteran player Roberto Bautista Agut, meanwhile, will be competing for the seventh time.

Three players — Müller, Moutet, and Carabelli — will make their China Open debut.

In addition to the 23 direct entries, four wild cards remain up for grabs. The men's qualifying rounds are scheduled for September 23-24 and will determine four additional main draw spots, while one special exempt entry is still to be announced.
