Chinese shares close higher – Jan 27

BEIJING — Chinese stocks closed higher Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.49 percent, or 40.34 points, to 2,749.15 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 1.69 percent, or 195.66 points, to 11,795.33 points.
